Decent platform for reaching young audiences

My recent experience using Snapchat for a series of Collection Ads was mostly positive. The setup process for the ads in Ads Manager was intuitive enough, though I did spend a bit of time with the Creative Kitchen testing different visuals. Delivery was consistent, and the ads ran without a hitch. I had a small question about the Pixel Tracking setup initially, so I contacted support. They responded within a day and provided clear instructions, which was helpful. The audience insights section gave me a good overview of who was seeing the ads. Quality of the ad placements seemed fine, no strange placements. Overall, it delivered on what I expected for reaching a younger demographic.

Got some good clicks

Used Snapchat for a quick ad campaign, just trying out their Snap Ads. It wasn't too hard to set up, surprisingly. I thought it might be complicated but the Instant Create option was pretty straightforward. Got some decent clicks for what I paid. Overall, it was a fine experience, nothing crazy good or bad.

Consistent results, easy to use

I've run a few campaigns through Snapchat Ads Manager now, and it's always been a pretty smooth experience. My last campaign using Story Ads for a new product launch went just as well as previous ones. The reach with Gen Z is definitely there, and setting everything up was familiar. No surprises, which is what I like.

Good value with the new advertiser credit

I decided to try Snapchat ads because of the new advertiser discount. I got a $100 credit after spending $50, which made my first campaign using Single Image Ads really affordable. It felt like a good deal and I definitely got more for my money than if I'd paid full price. Worth it for testing the waters without a huge commitment.

Are those AR lenses and filters hard to set up for a small business? My team isn't super techy.

D Donna G. 4 weeks ago
They have different tools. Instant Create is pretty basic for simpler stuff. Advanced is harder but more custom. You can start small.

I used Instant Create for a simple filter, it wasn't too bad. If you want something super fancy, you might need a designer, but basic stuff is doable.

Is it easy to cancel a campaign if something changes? Or are you locked into a minimum run time?

D Daniel Taylor 1 month ago
You can cancel anytime, I'm pretty sure. No long-term contracts or anything like that.

Yeah, I've paused and restarted campaigns all the time. You're not locked in, just stop it whenever you want.

How long does it usually take for them to approve an ad? I've got a campaign I need to launch pretty quick.

E Elizabeth T. 1 week ago
Depends on the ad type, but usually within 24 hours in my experience. Sometimes faster if it's super basic.

A Amanda R. 1 week ago
Mine usually get approved same day. If it's complicated with AR stuff, might take a bit longer but mostly it's quick.

I got a promo code in an email, where do I even put that in the Ads Manager? Can't find a spot.

M Mark Hernandez 2 weeks ago
It's usually in the billing section, like where you manage your payment methods. Look for something about 'promotional credits' or 'vouchers'.

R Robert 2 weeks ago
Yeah, definitely under billing. It's not super obvious, but it's there. Just poke around in your payment settings.

I'm looking at Snapchat vs. TikTok for my brand. Is the audience here actually Gen Z, or is it more mixed now?

L Leah J. 3 weeks ago
Definitely still super heavy Gen Z. Like, that's their main thing. TikTok has some, but Snap is where that demo lives.

My analytics show a ton of Gen Z on Snap. If that's your target, it's a good place to be. More pure Gen Z than TikTok, I think.
